Have you ever been in a situation at work when a highly important document needs to be completed quickly and you devote all your attention in doing so when you realize the document stands of no absolute use until it gets the signature of your boss who’s not available at that very moment?

A whole lot of time, effort, and attention that went in there to work for the completion of the document go in vain due to the lack of one signature.

Now that everything in this generation is turning out to be digital, easy, and quick; finding a way out of this situation faced by a lot of people multiple times is genuinely possible. Well, thankfully, technology has got our back.

The whole idea of digital signatures works on the concept of the formation of computerized and electronic signing mechanisms for documents to get validated and reliable. It provides insurance against the unnecessary delay caused by the absence of the individual to cast a signature physically.

All things bright and positive

Digital signatures replacing physical signature casting mechanisms have got vast advantages. Some of them have been discussed below-:

Advantages of digital signatures

Saves time

The delay caused in taking signatures from various people would no longer be an obstacle in the completion of a task because of such an easy, quick, and secure method of authenticating the data transmitted in the form of documents.

Customer service efficiency

Customers get a more reliable, valid, and justified image of the company or organization who is responsible to send the documents to them when signed digitally. Long distances are no more a problem in maintaining service efficiency.

Environmental efficiency

Signatures are done digitally to reduce the amount of paper waste generated in signing documents in a usual and regular manner.

Cost efficiency

Additional costs incurred due to the completion of the signing of documents in a usual and physical manner get cut down to a great extent when the method is digital.

Safety and security

When it comes to signing important documents, authenticity and integrity are one of the topmost priorities. The digital signing methodology includes high-end secure ways to protect the data being transmitted via online mode.

Inclusion of safety passwords, PIN’s and codes being sent to the signer as well as the receiver maintains the effectiveness of safety of data. At this point, I would like to mention my recent experience with digital signatures. A few days back.

I appointed an employee to work with me remotely, as we were both in different cities, he couldn’t make himself available to read and sign the annexure physically. Therefore, I instructed my team to send him the annexure in the form of a PDF and asked him to sign it electronically. This way the work was easily done with absolutely no hassle and delay.

In today’s era when almost everything is getting transformed into being digital, the relatively fresh concept of digital signatures is highly beneficial to businesses, corp orates, etc. Keeping in mind the wonderful advantages such signatures offer, these are undeniably impressive to be tried.
